Maitland Youth Crisis Centre is an accommodation service for young people aged 12-17 years who need somewhere to stay for a short time while they look for a more permanent place to live. The Maitland Youth Crisis Centre provides accommodation for up to 8 young people at a time for up to 12 weeks. Staff are available 24 hours a day, every day of the week, so there is always someone there for you if you choose to stay with us.
Westlakes is a transitional accommodation service for young people aged 16-17 years who need somewhere to stay, while they look for a more permanent place to live. * The Links to Independence program offers accommodation options to young people aged between 16-25 years who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. These young people may be single, partnered, pregnant and/or parenting. A case worker is assigned to each young person, who works with them to secure a variety of accommodation options. This may include private rental, social housing, supported accommodation or other medium-term accommodation. The program is tailored to suit the individual as well as an outreach component to assist young people to achieve independence.
The Supported Independent Living Program provides housing and support for young people 16-18 years who have been living in out of home care but are now unable to continue living with their foster care family or return home.
