What is Food and Friendship? Food and Friendship is a ministry of Warners Bay Baptist Church, and also a registered not-for-profit charity. We operate as an agency of Foodbank NSW & ACT Ltd, and provide food for low-income individuals and families to purchase at minimal cost. Our aim is to share the message of God’s love to people in our community, while helping to alleviate some of the financial stress that individuals and families face. Anyone who holds a current Healthcare or Pensioner Card, or who regularly receives a Centrelink payment, can register to shop with us. The products we sell include: fruit & vegetables, milk, bread, cereals, pasta, sauces, tea / coffee / cold drinks, snack foods, as well as a range of frozen goods such as meals, pies, icecreams and yoghurts. As part of the shop we also have a tearoom area, where we serve hot drinks, milkshakes, cakes and slices. On Friday mornings we run activities that customers can join in on, such as board games, card-making, jewellery-making etc. Whenever we are open people are welcome to visit us and have a chat with one of our pastoral care team members.   Open Wednesday to Friday, except on public holidays 9.00am -  2.00pm   A ministry offering friendship and access to cheaper food.
