Coordinated Support for People with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Complex Needs Partners in Recovery (PIR) is a Commonwealth Government (Department of Health) Initiative aiming to better support people with severe and persistent mental illness and complex needs, and their carers and families, by connecting them more effectively with the services and supports they need. PIR funding is transitioning to the NDIS. The PIR program has been extended for a further three years to ensure service continuity during transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The focus of the transition phase of the Program is to support the NDIS rollout.  PIR will: assist all eligible PIR clients to test their eligibility for the NDIS, assist clients to access their NDIS supports and. provide PIR services to NDIS participants.
