MND NSW provides information, support and education about motor neurone disease for people living with motor neurone disease, their families, friends and carers.The services include: MND have a Info Line telephone service that is available for questions from anyone who needs to know more about motor neurone disease. You can phone the MND Info Line to speak to a member of the MND Support Service Team. MND NSW Advisors assist people with motor neurone disease connect to the services they need. MND Advisors also offer ongoing information to families and service providers as questions arise or needs change. People with motor neurone disease often require special equipment to continue living at home. MND NSW helps members with motor neurone disease get access to equipment, as soon as the need for equipment arises. Coordination of Support is a service of MND NSW provided to NDIS particpants to assist them with the implementation of their National Disability Insurance Scheme plan. MND NSW conducts regular education and information sessions for people living with motor neurone disease, family members, carers and friends. MND support groups and coffee mornings meet together regularly to chat and learn from each other. Membership of the Motor Neurone Disease Association of New South Wales (MND NSW) is free for people with motor neurone disease. If you do not have motor neurone disease you can join the Association by paying a small membership fee, renewable annually.
