Service Coordinator

The Service Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of disability support services, focusing on scheduling support workers, providing supervision, ensuring workplace safety, implementing risk management strategies, and conducting inductions and training for our staff.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Coordinator to join our team. The Service Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of disability support services, focusing on scheduling support workers, providing supervision, ensuring workplace safety, implementing risk management strategies, and conducting inductions and training for our staff. This role is essential for maintaining the high-quality care and support our clients deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule Workers:

  • Efficiently assign support workers to clients.
  • Create and maintain support schedules.
  • Roster staff
  • Adapt quickly to changes.

Supervise and Support:

  • Provide guidance and feedback to staff.
  • Evaluate performance regularly.
  • Foster teamwork.

Ensure Safety:

  • Implement safety rules.
  • Identify and address risks.
  • Follow safety regulations.

Training and Inductions:

  • Train and onboard new staff.
  • Keep everyone updated on standards.
  • Maintain training records.

Requirements

  • Cert. IV in Mental Health or Disabilities.
  • High degree of computer literacy
  • Proven experience in disabilities or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS framework and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess and manage risk effectively.
  • Knowledge of SCHADS award.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
  • Training and facilitation skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour
